Flash Post: Twilight, Sleep Tight

What It Is:Got a little one that’s afraid of the dark? This soft-shelled snuggly toy is designed to keep the big bad monsters away with its luminescent shell that projects a constellation of pretty stars onto your ceiling in one of three kid-friendly colours (the plush toy itself also comes in three shades, but all of them have the same light colours as well). Want to make it an educational experience? The patterns from the Twilight Turtle (as it’s called) actually include eight real constellations, which you can point out to give the kids a little food for thought before turning in for the night. If they’re not quite ready to hit the hay, no worries – there’s a built-in sleep timer that’ll automatically shut off while they’re in la-la land, 45 minutes after turning it on.
Who It’s For: No cute three-liners about who it’s for: you’re looking at parents & kids, probably in the 10 & under range in the kid department. Can I point out I love that even after this thing has run its course as a child-friendly sleep aid, it’ll still look sweet on a shelf, or spectacular when lit up?
What It Costs:The suggested retail price is around $35, making it a great baby shower or birthday gift.
Where It’s At:You can’t buy it straight from the manufacturer, but you can email them to find a list of Canadian retailers. I also found the Twilight Turtle on Amazon, but truthfully I’ll bet you can spot it at most baby shops. Contact Cloud B to find out where!
