Flash Post: Bugaboo

What It Is: Have you ever had a day where you just want to wake up as someone totally different? The idea behind star Aussie stylist Kevin Murphy’s Color Bug is just that: rub on, wash out hair colour that will last no longer than a day, yet still gives you an intense, high-impact look that’s also easy to apply. Wonderful yes? Right now it comes in three near-flouro shades of cherry pink, grape bubblegum, and tangy orange, each of which are contained in little easy-to-hold contraptions that you simply rub onto your hair (with a towel or robe thrown over your shoulders to protect your clothes while it sets). Do an all-over dye job, tickle the ends, or apply a bright streak in a strategic spot – think of it like eyeshadow for your locks.
Who It’s For: Your niece or nephew that’s starting a new year at school, and wants the freedom to try a new look as well (just as long as it’s not school photo day, right?) Your wild child on the weekends friend that needs to look prim and proper come Monday morning. Your uber-fashionista sister, to add a bright spark to her everyday look.
What It Costs: Each Color Bug retails for $20 a pop (approximately) – but they last for multiple applications.
Where It’s At: Salons across Canada. Use the Kevin Murphy locator tool to track down your nearest retailer.

I’m guilty of creating a gift-for-self list from reading your blog, and this has just made it on the list! #cgg

Oooh! My niece would love this product! Wish I had the courage to be a little more “out there” with my hair. #CGG
