10 for $10: Sweethearts Edition
It’s that time again! Ten fantastic gift ideas for $10 or less, this month with a Valentine’s theme. Happy shopping!
Cupid Key Chain – $5 @ Indigo
Before I get harassed for suggesting a key chain as a gift, please envision what could be attached to said key chain – perhaps a key to your place, or a key to a new car? Consider this faux leather pink keychain the ‘wrapping’ to an amazing Valentine’s memory if either of those are the case.
Jurlique Rose Love Balm – $9 @ eBeauty.ca
February may be the month for snuggles and kisses, but it’s also high time for dry, cracked skin. Nourish every inch that needs a little moisturizing – from your elbows to your lips – with this uber-soothing balm.
Secret Ingredient Spoon – $9.99 @ ModCloth
The way to a man’s heart is supposedly through his stomach. Why not whip up a batch of his favourite cookies or cook a romantic dinner for two using this way-cute wooden spoon?
Floral Love Studs – $4.80 @ Forever 21
Showcase what you’ve got on the brain by positioning one of these pretty floral studs on either ear (also available in black). A cute choice for your best gal pal that’s flying solo this Valentine’s Day.
Chocomania Soap – $5 @ The Body Shop
The Body Shop launched their wildly popular Chocomania fragrance just in time for Valentine’s last year, and this year the collection has been given a luxe new look, like this candy-wrapped bar of exfoliating soap.
Valentine’s Day Kabobs – $4.99 each @ Laura Secord
Take it from me – kids don’t really appreciate those cream-filled chocolates and expensive truffles anyway. Give them a sweet and affordable treat instead, with these stacked-to-the-rafters candy kabobs.
OPI Vintage Minnie Mouse Collection – $9.95 each @ salons nationwide
The original Disney sweetheart, Minnie Mouse, was the muse for this line of uber-girly polishes from OPI. With four flirty shades – including a chunky heart glitter – this is a must-have for any nail buff.
Cupid Crunch – $9.99 @ South Bend Chocolate Company
Milk-chocolate drizzled caramel corn and dried Michigan cherries? Sounds like a lip-smacking alternative to a box of treats to me. Great for a family or girls night in come Cupid’s Day.
Valentine’s Cards – $5.13 each @ Sarah Phelps Creative
You might not be a greeting card writer, but surely you can think of something sweet to say about your nearest and dearest. These handmade-in-Canada cards are truly one-of-a-kind, just like your love!
Wilton Kitchen Favorites 4” Mini Heart Springform Pan – $8.99 @ Sears
Bake up a two-serving heart-shaped cupcake for a sweet treat to end your evening with this pint-sized springform pan from Wilton. Another fun idea? Gift the empty pans to your kids in the morning, and have all the fixins’ to customize their own cupcakes for dessert.
