All It Takes Is One…

As many of you know, I love writing about beauty and body products, simply because I think they make sensational gifts. If you’ve ever felt that pang at the register when you ring up a pricy bottle of moisturizer or a measly eyeliner, yet receiving that same item as a gift gives you a heart-soaring thrill, you’ll know what I’m talking about. However, not all beauty mavens are created equal. While I take a medium length of time to get ready (under an hour from rolling out of bed to walking out the door), I know many people that simply can’t afford, or simply don’t want to invest that time in themselves. They’re intimidated by the glossy aisles of a beauty store, skeptical of the miracle ingredient of the month, or simply eschew the mere idea they need any product at all. The simple truth is, a good beauty product can be a gal’s best friend. The trick is finding one…hence why I’m excited to introduce you all to Mèreadesso – a Canadian company that touts a one-step approach as their difference maker.

All-In-One Moisturizer

It’s actually this cleanly packaged little lotion that’s got tongues wagging in the beauty industry. As something of a magic potion, it’s part of Mèreadesso’s promise to simplify your beauty routine – regardless of age, skin tone or issues, or even gender, all you need is this one all-in-one moisturizer ($120) to serve as your day and night moisturizer, eye cream, toner, and cosmetic primer. Pretty impressive, when you consider how many bottles (and associated costs) you can clear out of your medicine cabinet, and the fact a little goes a very long way – a single bottle can last you a third of a year. A note on the brand’s creator, former beauty exec Linda Stephenson. After feeling sunk in her own skincare routine, Linda took her background in chemistry, biology, and botany and applied it to the Mèreadesso line. That means every product is seriously infused with skin-soothing botanical extracts, minerals, enzymes, and antioxidants that also pack an anti-aging punch, making this one of my top suggestions for Mother’s Day 2013!

Face and Neck Cleanser

As romantic as the idea of one single product is, the reality happens to be that we do require a little more than just moisturizer to keep our skin in check. That’s why Mèreadesso incorporates a range of other complementary products built on the same principle: keep it simple. This Face + Neck Cleanser ($45) is gentle enough to remove every last bit of makeup (including those pesky waterproof mascaras), yet also pulls triple duty as a mask, scrub, and toner. Another pro to Mèreadesso? Why not bring your favourite formulas with you on a trip abroad? Instead of wasting luggage space on endless lotions and potions, these do-it-all products  are perfect to cover your bases and ensure you still look radiant in all those vacay photos. Incidentally Mèreadesso also has carries a Travel Ease Kit, although sadly it’s currently sold out!

Body Balm

Of course, a good skincare regime isn’t just about the face darlings – you’ve got to take care of the epidermis from head-to-toe. The skin-quenching beautiful body balm ($54) tones, tightens, and smooths out any rough spots, including your hands, feet, and really just about everywhere south of the neck. With 28 globally sourced botanical extracts, this is an apt pampering pick for the new mommy on your shopping list – it actually promises to enhance the texture and elasticity of your skin so you can bounce back from stretch marks and scars.

Lip Treats

Finally the last piece to the delightfully simple Mèreadesso line are nourishing lip treats ($28 for a duo), available in both clear and tinted formulations and sold in handy two-packs, these are a perfect gift for your girlfriend to throw into her purse. Made with luscious primrose, grape seed, coconut, and sunflower oils these simple shaders can be worn on their own, or as a primer for your favourite lip shade. Pucker up!

I hope that I’ve piqued the interest of a few of you. With the range of price points and amazing all-in-one features of Mèreadesso, I was genuinely impressed by the luxurious simplicity of the brand. If you’re not an online shopper, you can also check out the line in person at several locations in the GTA, including the Pink Tartan flagship store and the Kirsch Cosmetics Studio. Want to take it for a test run no matter what? Three lucky readers are each going to win a Face + Neck Cleanser for themselves! Here’s how to enter:

1) Leave a comment by April 12th with the Mèreadesso item you’d most like to test out + name one of the ‘key ingredients‘ in your chosen product.

2) Entries are limited to one per person / per email address / per household (or more if you score bonus entries). A random draw will be conducted on or around April 13th to select the winners, who will have 48 hours to respond before another winner is chosen in their place.

3) Entries are limited to Canadians that have reached the age of majority in their province. Quebec is not eligible to participate in this promotion.

4) Bonus Entry: Like Mèreadesso on Facebook and leave a comment about why you’re excited to try the line out for yourself! Be sure to leave your FB username in the comments below so I can credit your entry.
