Not much to say about today’s post…I built this one by meandering about the interwebs, finding summery gift ideas, and envisioning gifting them on a perfect summer’s day.

How sweet and summery are these pretty decorative hangers designed for hooking and hanging your favourite baubles? Available in three colours, simply affix one of these to a nail on the wall or on the back of your door (or really, in a closet) for easy access to your gems whenever you need ’em. A particularly sweet pick for the spare bedroom in your cottage so guests can lay out their finery, or as a hostess gift.
Solvinden Patio Lights – $11.99+ @ IKEAWell I know I said sunny days, but with this gift idea the daylight is what makes the moonlight awesome. Namely, IKEA has once again rolled out a huge range of solar-powered patio lights as part of their Solvinden collection – from tiny paper lanterns (pictured above) to table and pendant lamps, virtually any space can be outfitted with these fun decor lights that require nothing but the sun’s energy to last all night long. With unbelievable prices, you might be hard-pressed to find them at your local IKEA but keep close tabs on the site’s fantastic inventory checker; they’re so high-in-demand, they restock them all summer long.

Truth be told I’m not much of a ‘beach reads’ person, but I genuinely appreciated some of the nuances author Shelley Noble put into this sun-soaked story set on South Carolina coast. The novel centres around two lost souls that find solace in the forgotten beachside town of Stargazey Point. Abbie is mourning her long-time boyfriend’s tragic death (and the collective choices that led to it) while Cab is hiding out from his high-flying life as an architect, choosing instead to lovingly restore the town’s ancient carousel. When their paths cross, neither Abbie nor Cab are particularly interested in love, but their interactions awaken things thought long-forgotten not only in one another, but the town’s residents as a whole (including the septuagenarian hosts that Abbie is shacking up with).

Definitely Bath & Body Works. My niece used to travel to Florida to visit her in-laws and would always bring me back soap, so I was using it long before any stores opened in Canada. And now my daughter always has at least one of their candles burning in her room.

OMG ~ how can one choose only one as a fave! The Eyelet Jewelry Hangers are practical and stylish. Patio lanterns are such a fun summertime accessory. Now who doesn’t love Lush…what more can be said about that. The book sounds excellent, and easy to dive into. And I adore scented candles, and the ones from Lakeside Home Collection Candles have unique sounding scents and I love the names, especially Lakeside & Summertime S’mores. Awesome finds.
