Pumpkin Eater

White Crackle Pumpkin BowlsWhat It Is: You know, by the time I get to Halloween I’ve run out of steam on the autumnal stuff. The holiday season kicks off on the CGG tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited – I’ve spent the last two months working on it (and I’m STILL going). But given it’s All Hallows Eve, I thought I’d throw one last gift idea your way that doubles its duties for Halloween and autumn in general. This set of stoneware bowls has a delicate crackle finish that’s reminiscent of an antique set of porcelain – only it’s far more durable. The perfect size to serve up some pumpkin soup or cranberry-studded salad, the fact that they’re finished in a creamy white also means they’ll go with nearly any existing place setting.

Who It’s For: Your mom, to serve up a side dish at a Thanksgiving feast. Your sibling, to encourage the kids to enjoy some toasty soup as the weather chills out. Your Halloween-obsessed best friend, so she can channel the season any time of year.

What It Costs: $65 for a set of 4.

Where It’s At: Williams Sonoma.

I love these stoneware bowls! In fact I love the whole ensemble you’ve got going on in the pic. Would really like to find out where you found the orange plate underneath and the lovely pumpkin salad plate. I’m guessing Williams Sonoma for them all….gotta love that store!
