Everything Is Awesome

Lego Movie Pirate Ship

What It Is: If you’ve already seen the adorable, thoughtful and clever The Lego Movie then you’ll know what both the title of this post references and the fun set below above is drawn from. If not, well, it’s a cool Lego pirate ship. But if you HAVE seen the film, Lego has released a set of tie-in products (somewhat ironically…) that allow you to recreate many of the movie’s most notable ‘innoventions’. I particularly enjoyed this Metalbeard’s Sea Cow set because it includes many of the film’s core characters + Emmett’s legendary ‘double decker couch’ invention. A fun tie-in to a fun movie.

Who It’s For: Your new-to-Lego niece or nephew that fell in love with the toys after seeing the film. Your diehard Lego maniac brother, to add to his own collection a la Lord Business. Your bestest friend that simply fell in love with the story’s hilarious characters and plotlines, as a cool tribute.

What It Costs: $299. Too rich for your blood? There are plenty of other The Lego Movie tie-ins available at a range of prices.

Where It’s At:Lego’s online shop, Lego boutiques, and select toy stores.

Bonus entry into this month’s Find of the Month giveaway! Tell me in the comments below – have you seen The Lego Movie yet? What did you think?

What a crazy awesome pirate ship! I LOVE Lego – my whole family is full of Lego maniacs! This ship reminds me of the old set from the ’90’s but much, much cooler. The Lego movie was awesome – Will Ferrell and the story tie-in at the end resonates in our house! LOVE LOVE LEGO, and would LOVE LOVE this ship (if you have a spare ;-))
