Weigh To Go

Weigh To Go

What It Is: A big portion of dieting is watching how much you eat of certain foods. As my own mom would always tell me, anything in moderation is generally okay. This innovative scale from The Orange Chef Co. allows you to weigh your favourite foods and tap into an app that gives you a quick and comprehensive breakdown of the nutritional content of what you’re about to nosh on. No more measuring, no more counting – this health-conscious device and associated app are perfect to help you stay within desired calorie counts and reach your health goals. Also neat? Each meal is ranked based on its nutritional density – aiming for 100 makes it that much easier to add in some extra nutrients where needed.

Who It’s For: Your mom, as part of her lifelong quest to drop 5 lbs. Your spouse, who’s busy training for a marathon and knows that every calorie counts. Your indulgent sibling, so she can balance those tasty treats she whips up with the meals she eats.

What It Costs: The Prep Pad retails for $188 CAD.

Where It’s At: Williams Sonoma stores and online.

Speaking of healthy eats, you’ve only got a couple days left to nab bonus entries into my Oh She Glows giveaway. Earn one here by leaving a comment on whether this interactive scale would be a practical addition to your kitchen.

I totally admire the people who weigh their food but I am way to lazy for it! Luckily I don’t worry too much about portion control or weight loss so I don’t really need to.

What a great idea. But for me, I’m not sure I’d use this since it would involve turning on my laptop. Maybe I’d use it after I got used to using the scale. Its a great idea though and I’d like to be that person|!

I could definitely use a scale in the kitchen. I’m not sure whether I’d use the nutritional aspect of it on a regular basis, though.

This would be a great addition to my kitchen. If using the scale the way it is intended ,one would certainly have one’s eyes opened as to portion sizes, I would think.
