Blackbird’s Singing In The Dead Of Night

Blackbird JewelleryWhat It Is:A collection of jewellery by one of the top 10 designers in Toronto, Blackbird is a relatively new line developed by Regan Hayes and Vanessa Marino. The brand recently launched their third collection, inspired by the ‘witchy woman’. In general, however, their pieces tend to pair bold geometric shapes, polished resin, and glittering chains for a look that’s wholly modern yet organic. With celeb fans already donning their gear (including the likes of Chantal Kreviazuk), consider snapping up a piece to refresh your spring wardrobe. While I’ve only shown necklaces above, the brand does dabble in rings, bracelets, earrings and more.

Who It’s For:Your mom, as a made-in-Canada Mother’s Day pick. Your sister, as a chic congratulations on a new job or promotion. Your bridesmaids, as gorgeous, standout wedding day pieces.

What It Costs:The prices are pretty wildly varied based on the materials used and complexity. Only a handful of pieces retail under $100 (mostly earrings), and the majority of the necklaces are around $125 – $250.

Where It’s At:The entire Blackbird line can be purchased online.

Speaking of fierce jewellery, how about a bonus entry into my Electric Picks giveaway? Take a peek at the Blackbird site and tell me in the comments below – what’s your favourite piece?
