Find of the Month: Miracle 10

Howdy folks! Welcome to 2015 and another year of amazing gift-giving ideas. As we sail into the New Year I’ve no doubt – as I mention every year – that many of you have made some form of New Year’s resolution. I’m actually an advocate of the NYR, as long as you create something you can stick to. The best way to do that is twofold. First, make it part of your routine. Second, make yourself accountable for sticking to your routine. Several years ago I vowed to work out four times a week. I started blogging about it – even though it was just in a personal, private blog – and it stuck. I now work out 4-6 times per week, and when I don’t, I feel guilty.

Now, if one of your goals is to take better care of yourself, then good for you. I’m all for those who take a few extra minutes to let a mask soak into their hair, or buy a cute outfit to make them feel grand on their birthday, or in the case of this month’s big find – look after their skin. I actually introduce Miracle 10 to you guys back in November, but the brand has such a massive range of products that I thought they deserved a bit more ‘screen time’ if you will.

Miracle 10 CollectionFirst though, a recap for those of you who missed my original post. Miracle 10 is a Canadian brand developed by The Plastic Surgery Skincare Collection. Their products are designed to give your skin a ‘workout’ in the same way you would your muscles, in order to encourage your skin cells to rebuild themselves more quickly for a constantly refreshed, renewed complexion. The titular ’10’ refers to the three stages of results, starting in as little as 10 hours with skin that’s more smooth and clear. After 10 days, the brand promises you’ll notice dark spots beginning to fade and dullness beginning to brighten. And after 10 weeks, you’ll have a whole new face (minus the surgery) with diminished wrinkles and pores. The line is quite celebrated for its powerful and unique blend of ingredients that have been researched and validated by skincare specialists, chemists and industry leaders.

Skin Rejuvenation CollectionLast month I touched on Miracle 10’s Travel Collections, but this time I’d like to hone in on their Skin Rejuvenation Collection ($160). This three-piece set is an absolute must-have for the bitter winter months ahead, as it’s specifically formulated to aid with dry, rough and dehydrated skin. Given that, come February, I feel all peely and pruney and dried out, I can’t imagine I’m alone in that. If you’re feeling the same way, then you’ll want to keep on reading to learn about the three awesome products within this cool kit.

Miracle 10 Solution 1First up we have Miracle 10’s Solution I ($39), an all-day and all-night exfoliating formula that works to bust up the keratin which is keeping your dead skin cells in place. The star ingredient in this super-powered product is 3% glycolic acid, which is known to help clear away old skin cells to reveal the youthful, brighter ones underneath. Salicylic acid and kojic acid are both useful in helping clear up your skin from any troublesome acne patches, dark spots, and large pores. While this powerful exfoliator may sound intense, it’s simple to apply – just rub it on with a moistened cotton pad and it’ll get to work, providing you with a more bright and even complexion.

Miracle 10 EnzymeTo further aid in the keratin-busting brigade, we’ve got Miracle 10’s Enzyme ($77). This fruit-based scrub is designed to gently slough off dead skin cells without causing irritation. As someone with somewhat sensitive skin I can tell you that I’ve tried this product and while my skin was a little red for a bit after scrubbing up, my skin quickly resumed its normal hue – and genuinely felt super soft. While fruit-based sounds like a ‘fluffy’ benefit of the product, in fact, the exotic fruit enzymes contained with this magnificent product will actually digest lifeless skin cells both on the surface and within your pores. Plus, this scrub contains fossilized rock particles that will further aid in exfoliation and hyaluronic acid to ensure you’re staying moisturized. Use it a few times a week by massaging into your skin (ideally with Miracle 10’s Solution I mixed in) and then cleaning off.

Miracle 10 MaskThe final piece of the Skin Rejuvenation Collection puzzle is the simply titled Mask ($65). Simple though it may be in name, this product is jam-packed with skin-revitalizing benefits and ingredients, including elasticity-boosting collagen and elastin, and a skin-nourishing Vitamin A, E, C D3, K & B complex. After applying this clay mask for just 10-15 minutes, you’ll feel a cooling, tingling sensation. Upon wiping it away, be amazed by how your pores are diminished and other skin flaws – like broken capillaries or acne-prone spots – are smoothed out. It’s the perfect final product in a complementary series of formulas designed to revive your skin and keep it looking bright and fresh, even when it’s -40 outside.

Miracle 10While the products in the Skin Rejuvenation Collection can be purchased separately, your best bang for your buck (and skincare benefits) is to purchase them in the gift set, which will save you $20 and provide you with a gift-ready tube for wrapping. Miracle 10 products are available on their website, as well at their two boutiques in Yorkville and Mississauga, Ontario. It’s a perfect indulgent gift for any one that’s looking to apply a little extra TLC to their skin this winter season…and who says that giftee can’t be yourself?

Finally, I’m thrilled to announce I’m giving away a Skin Rejuvenation Collection to one lucky winner. Want it to be you? Here’s how to enter:
