Pasta Perfetto

PHILIPS Avance Pasta MakerWhat It Is: If you love pasta, I can tell you right now that there’s no pasta like the kind you make yourself – it puts dried, boxed stuff to shame. Simply toss in your desired ingredients, tell the machine how much flour you’re using, and it’ll start churning out sheets in a quarter of an hour. No muss, no fuss – as easy as it is to set up as it is to use and clean.

Who It’s For: Your health-conscious sibling, as a way to make pasta as healthy as can be. Your soon-to-be-married niece or nephew, as a perfect wedding pick. Your go-to family host or hostess, so they can serve up more homemade deliciousness at your next family gathering.

What It Costs: $299

Though it looks like a lovely pasta machine, we don’t really eat much pasta, so I don’t think I’d make room for the machine in my cupboard.

I’m not sure about buying a pasta machine (although, I’d love to test drive it!). I’d probably more likely buy an attachment for my Kitchen Aid mixer–I’m trying to make the most out of that baby!

How did I miss this? Have you tried it? How tough is it? I do make my own lasagna noodles but not spagetti because it’s too fiddly. I bet this could tackle that no prob.
