Stocking Stuffer Ideas for Her
We’re in the home stretch toward the holidays now, and this week it’s all about stocking stuffer gift ideas. Today I’m highlighting some lovely stocking stuffers she’ll love this 2015 holiday season. Onwards!
L’Occitane Hugs & Kisses Duos – $20 each
One great tip for stocking stuffers is to indulge in her favourite brands in pint-sized packages. L’Occitane has plenty of Stocking Stuffer-friendly gift ideas, like these adorable duos that feature a complementary hand cream and lip balm. Available in three scents / flavours, these bestselling kits are right-sized for stockings and are at that critical $20 and under price point. The only question that remains is what will end up softer? Her lips or her hands?
The Salt Cellar Gourmet Sea Salts – From $6.95
Drool alert! The Salt Cellar is a very cool Canadian brand that creates all sorts of intriguing and mouthwatering salts. While there are plenty of trendy infused salts – like Canadian Bacon and Black Truffle – what stands out to me with The Salt Cellar is their sheer range of salts. They have salts from different geographic locations (like Hawaii), in different sizes (like their Cyprus Flake), and for different purposes (like their rimmer-ready Lime, Habernero & Celery). You can buy one or two individually as a fun and festive surprise, particularly if she loves cooking, or check out their kits for a more luxe gift. Their products are available online, but you can also catch ’em in person at trade shows, craft fairs, farmer’s markets, and in fine food stores across Canada.
WORLD Travel Trio – $20
If natural hair and body care is her thing, then you’ll definitely want to learn more about World. This natural beauty brand is the result of years of prototyping and research to create effective, quality products that are also fragrance-free (although you do have the option of adding an essential oil to your products, for a distinctive, natural aroma). By nixing the chemicals most commonly found in ‘shelf’ brands, WORLD is being kind to you and to the environment. Plus many of their products are multi-taskers, meaning lower production volumes and less bottles, making this pint-sized travel set that much more versatile. This trio contains their Clean Hair & Skin Cleanser, Protect Hair & Skin Cleanser, and Believe Hair & Skin Balm.
Holiday Bag – $8 @ Squish
This adorable Canadian candy store is making it fun to have a sweet tooth again. With a huge array of premium gummies and sweets to choose from, you’ll feel like a kid again when trying to pick an item for a loved one. They’ve got tons of fun gift ideas (like a paint can-shaped container filled with sweets) but if you want to go for something festive, this little bag of mixed gummies is a delectable idea. With chocolate coal, bubbly bear gummies, and sour tangerines, it’s a wonderful treat to have while unwrapping gifts, hanging out by the fire, or enjoying a holiday film. Incidentally I know we’re well into December – but something to keep in mind for next year; they have an advent calendar!
Skin Republic Masks – From $8
Sheet masks are having a big moment right now (I’m a total convert). These fibre-based masks are drenched in skin-nourishing nutrients; applying one to your face (no worries, it has holes for your nose, eyes, and mouth) is an extremely effective way to saturate your skin, providing much-needed hydration while repairing damaged skin cells. Without a doubt, every sheet mask I’ve ever used has given me unbelievably glowing results – and Skin Republic has a crazy lineup of them! First and foremost they have six different face masks to suit whatever your top needs are. But they also offer sheet masks for your entire body – including your neck, hands, feet, decolletage, and under your eyes. Give her a H2T sheet mask experience with Skin Republic – it’s so much cheaper than a spa day!
Demeter Fragrance Library Frankincense + Cardamom – From $6 USD each
You’ve all heard me expound on my love for Demeter Fragrance Library, the perfume brand known for their crazy real life-inspired scents that are great when you need a quick energizing (or soothing) olfactory pick-me-up. This holiday season they’ve introduced two new scents that draw inspiration from the season. Frankincense – which I’m a big fan of in general, weirdly enough – to reflect one of the gifts from the infamous three wisemen. And Cardamom, a classic spice commonly found in Indian food that has a ginger-y, clove-y smell that feels just this side of festive. Of course, these are just two of many holiday-themed scents – browse their site to check out some of their other seasonal scents, from Canadian Blue Spruce to Gingerbread!
Zendoodle Keep Merry and Color On – $14.99
One more adult colouring book before we hit finish on this holiday season – this one with a decidedly holiday theme. Featuring 75 festive decorations that are actually fun for all ages to colour (except maybe tiny, uncoordinated hands) this delightful book is perfectly priced to be stuffed in a stocking. What’s particularly cool here is the pages are actually perforated, so you can tear them out for hanging on the fridge, framing, or making your own hand-coloured Christmas cards. Add in some metallic pencil crayons or markers (and some extra red and green ones too) and you’ll be all set.
Demes Natural Products Stocking Stuffer Trio – $20
Canadian brand alert! I was delighted to find this little gift idea because it’s literally for your stocking. Containing a trio of Demes top-selling products, it’s a great way to introduce this natural care brand to a loved one. In this cool kit, you get three multi-tasking products. First up is Butter Me Up, an all-over moisturizer that’s perfect for traveling. Next, there’s Look Ma, Clean Hands, which is a pure hand and body wash (again, with the travel-readiness). Finally there’s Get the Funk Out, which is a natural deodorizer and surface freshener (try it on your yoga mat!) Together, it’s a fab little trio of items she’ll adore – and you can restock with full sizes for future gifting occasions.
Olivia Garden Folding Brush & Mirror Set – $3.49 USD
If you haven’t heard of Olivia Garden before, they’re a luxury brush maker favoured by salon professionals and mane masters alike. But this holiday season you can get a piece of the brand for a way affordable price, with this purse-friendly folding duo. Available in metallic gold and cranberry, the memory flex bristles gentle detangle wet hair, while the mirror ensures you always look picture perfect. Plus it comes pre-wrapped with a little bag and gift tag, making it a snap to give away. Toss it in your gym bag, your purse, or your carry-on, this versatile little brush is a perfect stocking stuffer pick.
Handmade Soaps – $5 each or 5 for $20 @ The Waterford Girl
I love gifting bars of soap at the holidays because it’s something your giftee will actually use, as opposed to just collecting dust on the shelf (in fact that’s a theme for this entire gift guide). Made from sumptuous oils and butters, each soap from The Waterford Girl is hand cut, giving it a unique, one-of-a-kind feel. And the scents? Good luck picking just one per stocking! There are over 30 to choose from too, although if you wanted to be on point this season, I’d suggest the Peppermint or the Orange & Chocolate Cheesecake. And for those with sensitivities, rest assured, many of the soaps are gluten-free or vegan, ensuring you can nab a luxe bar of soap for every lady (and man!) on your list.
