Smell The Roses

Truefitt & Hill The Fragrance Collection

What It Is: Flowers are a pretty common Valentine’s Day pick for the ladies – but Truefitt & Hill is turning that tradition on its head by suggesting an equally wonderful-smelling gift pick, for the lads. The Fragrance Collection, picture above, contains three super luxurious products in your choice of scent, to ensure all-day staying power. Start with the Shaving Cream Bowl, then layer it on with the Aftershave Balm and Cologne for the smoothest, best-smelling skin on the planet.

The five scents each have their own distinct aroma, but my personal pick has to be 1805, based on a formulation known as the ‘Palmerston Boquet’, created in the late 1850s. A little bit floral – lavender and geranium are in the mix – but ultimately a refreshing marine scent with notes of bergamot and mandarin, this invigorating aroma is the perfect fragrance you’ll love nuzzling into all Valentine’s night long (and beyond).

Who It’s For: This Valentine’s-worthy present is perfect for your sweetheart, but it’s also excellent to keep in mind for anniversaries and birthdays for the important men in your life: spouses, siblings, and parents!

What It Costs: $198 for the set, regardless of which scent you choose.

Where It’s At: You can buy Truefitt & Hill products online; they also have a store / barbershop in Toronto if you want to treat a lucky lad in your life to an old fashioned shave. For more on this amazing brand, be sure to check out the first post I wrote on them here!
