Cover For Me

MAKE UP FOR EVER Ultra HD Concealer

What It Is: Get ready for your close-up darlings, MAKE UP FOR EVER has expanded their best-selling HD collection with the addition of their Ultra HD Concealer Invisible Cover Concealer. Designed for use by professional makeup artists working under unforgiving high resolution conditions, this awesome concealer collection is actually made up of two hue families designed to neutralize dark under eye circles while brightening the eye area. Find the perfect 1-2 punch and you’ll knock your dark circles away.

Generally speaking, I’m wary of liquid concealers – I have always had more luck with cream. With liquids, I find you need to really cake it on to banish my genetic dark circles, or you end up with a streaky, patchy look. But MAKE UP FOR EVER was nice enough to send me a tube and I was surprised. A little goes a l-o-n-g way, so don’t be put off by the small-ish size of the tubes this stuff comes in. A tiny dollop on your finger can quickly and effectively smooth over any blemishes or areas you need to reflect light off of. It does take a bit of practice to get the amount right as at first I was using way too much. I also found it didn’t crease – but I set my concealer pretty quickly with powder after using it and suggest you do the same. Now I’m just curious to try the 1-2 punch they’re promising with shades from both ends of their colour spectrum!

Who It’s For: Your makeup obsessed sibling. Your new mama friend, to hide those dark circles. Yourself!

What It Costs: $32 a tube.

Where It’s At: Sephora stores and online.

Speaking of eye makeup, this gift idea would make a swell pairing with the Shadow Shields I featured this week. Want a bonus entry into that giveaway? Tell me in the comments below – which shade of Ultra HD Concealer do you think you are?
