What It Is: I heard about White Faux Taxidermy some time ago, but they recently crossed my path again because well, unicorns. The brand’s whole schtick is creating animal-friendly wall mounts from resin, not actual animals (again, unicorns, so clearly fake). While they started out with hipster-friendly creatures like deer, they’ve expanded over the years to include a more whimsical cadre of critters and colours. Deer, moose and unicorns are their specialties, but you can in fact nab faux taxidermy heads of many animal kingdom members – including alligators, tigers, and zebras. Happy hunting!
Who It’s For: Your designer-y friend, to add a fun touch to their home. The happy couple, as a quirky wedding gift. Yourself, because unicorns.
What It Costs: Most heads are around $84.99 USD. Shipping’s on the pricier side (around $30) but about what I’d expect for shipping a piece of wall art through the mail.
