Clean Scrub

Beautycounter Kids

What It Is: I’ve definitely got kids on the brain this week, what with back-to-school kicking off. With that in mind, I was psyched to learn more about Beautycounter’s cool kids line. To recap, if you haven’t read my other posts on Beautycounter, this safe beauty brand has recently expanded into Canada over the past year. Their promise? Banning 1,500 ingredients that are either known to be harmful or have questionable impacts on your body – resulting in safe products that you can feel good about using that deliver great results.

I always go back to the way kids’ products are so much gentle than adult ones. Why do we give up on the gentle stuff? While Beautycounter’s products are safe at any age, their kids stuff is probably extra prescient for cautious parents. Consisting of their Nice Do Shampoo, Not a Knot Conditioner, and Super Duper Clean Body Wash, this cute collection looks super sleek in its nautical packaging and smells great too. Just don’t tell the kids what’s in it – carrot root, broccoli, strawberry extract, citrus and vanilla oils all play a part, providing further proof vegetables really are the best thing ever for kids (and adults!)

Who It’s For: Your good friend, to introduce her to the ways of safe beauty products. Your niece or nephew, as a perfect gift idea to scrub up before picture day. Your grandkids, because honestly if the grandparents are gifting something, the kids are bound to love it.

What It Costs: $22 a piece, or you can get a set of all three for $57.

Where It’s At: Shop online at the Beautycounter site or track down a local rep.
