Sock Sense

solosocksWhat It Is: A crafty solution to that age old problem: the sock gremlin that does away with one of your pairs of socks, inevitably leaving you with some stranded socks that tumble around and collect dust, or end up in the trash. SOLOSOCKS sells their socks in packages of five or seven – and none of them match. I mean, they coordinate. They look matchy. But they aren’t direct matches. The idea is for you to mix and match them in any combination you want, so even if you lose one, or two, or more, you’ll still have plenty of other socks to pair with. Simple yet genius, right?

Who It’s For: Your spouse, that’s always losing a sock or two. Your mom, who has put up with years of laundry and mismatched socks. Your brother, as a snazzy work wardrobe upgrade.

What It Costs: There’s a Kickstarter campaign going on right now for SOLOSOCKS where you can pick up socks start at $28 USD for a five-pack.

Where It’s At: Buy ’em online here via Kickstarter.

Seems a bit gimicky to me. A cute idea, but I could just as easily buy five pairs of the same funky socks anywhere and the only difference would be that they are exact matches.
