I’ve noticed a lot of you really loved my big beauty gifts giveaway, so naturally I knew I had to feature some more beautiful gift ideas! Today’s gift guide highlights some of my favourite picks from Quo Cosmetics’ holiday line, available exclusively at Shoppers Drug Mart. Well-priced and delivering great performance, this awesome collection is great for last-minute gifts (there are thousands of Shoppers locations across Canada), affordable stocking stuffers, and fun beauty gift ideas your makeup maven friends and family will adore. Here are my five favourite gift ideas from Quo Cosmetics this holiday season!
Hidden Treasures Cosmetic Crackers – $18
I featured another set of crackers this season already (and spotted some others still on sites like DAVIDsTEA) – I’m calling it now, fun crackers sans party hat and lame toy are the new branded advent calendars. Quo Cosmetics’ take on the trend consists of three equally covetable sets of lip gloss and eyeshadow duos. I don’t want to spoil the surprise (although really, the back of the box does it for you) but the hues are all pretty universally appealing – think, neutral pinks and plums – and your friends can totally swap for their faves upon opening!
Best of Quo Discovery Set – $65
If you’re already a bonafide Quo Cosmetics fan or you’re introducing someone to the brand (or makeup in general for the younger set), you can’t go wrong with this sampler set. It features some of Quo’s bestsellers and beauty staples, including a hydrating pressed powder, a potent mascara, a blush stick (great for travel), a lip gloss, eyeshadow, eyebrow set, eyeliner, and a shadow brush. Quo True Artist Eye, Lip & Cheek Palette – $45
I love the studio makeup artist look of this slim and sleek palette. It folds open so you don’t have to prop it or constantly flip it open, and keeps a mirror pointed at your face at all times. The colour range is pretty impressive too – we’re talking 24 shadows, six lip colours, and six bronzers / blushes. The shadows are all refreshingly matte and have good colour payoff – the range of highlighters in the lighter end were particularly of note so you can find the perfect one to go with your look. In fact, you can view each vertical row of this palette as a single ‘look’ – blend the shadows for a contoured eye, slick on some gloss with the included brush, and finish with a dusting of powder on your cheeks.

This might be the most travel-friendly makeup brush set I’ve ever laid eyes on.
