Stocking Stuffers for the Kiddies
I’m changing things up this year. If you read my annual stocking stuffer guides you’ll know I usually start with the ladies, but this year it felt apt to kick off with the kids. Below are some of my favourite stocking stuffer gift ideas for kids of all ages!
Lip Smackers Skittles 8-Piece Candy Roll – $9.95 @ Shoppers Drug Mart and Loblaws
This gift idea takes me back to my childhood (and my ongoing lip chap addiction agh). I used to get holiday season Lip Smackers almost every year in my stocking, with crazy flavours like toasted marshmallow and peppermint stick. It’s cool to see that Lip Smackers are still beloved by the next generation – especially with fun collabs with brands like Skittles. This candy-flavoured collection is a sweet treat for any little girl’s stocking.
Lego Minifigures Series 16 – $3.99 each @ Mastermind Toys
Which crazy creation will you unlock? These individually wrapped Lego minifigs are some of the most creative yet – from a wintery queen to a mariachi band player to a quirky banana costume, they’ll have a blast opening a package (or two) and trading them with friends.
Minky Leg Warmers – $19 @ Triple Flip
Whether she’s into dance, gymnastics, or simply staying toasty around the home, these ridiculously soft leg warmers are a welcome addition to her closet. Coming in two fun tie dye color combos, they’re made from a teddybear-plush material she won’t be able to resist.
Stikbot – $7.99 each @ Mastermind Toys
A STEM-friendly toy for kids under $10? You bet! Have fun posing your Stikbot any which way – they’ll stick to just about any surface thanks to their suction cup hands and feet. But if you lend your kid a tablet or smartphone, they can also download a free app that’ll let them create stop motion graphics as they move their bot around!
Cupcake Gumballs – $5.93 @ Well.ca
Oh so sweet, these bubble-popping gumballs are a classic gift for any kid, but probably too sugary for the adults in the household. With over 20 gumballs to chew on, these vanilla-flavoured treats are fun on their own, but you can also encourage the kids to turn them into a baking project by adding them to some bubblegum-flavoured cupcakes!
Magic 8 Ball – $9.99 @ Toys “R” Us
This classic toy still has plenty of relevance today. Younger kids will marvel over its magical abilities while older ones will have with friends at slumber parties as they question whether their crush likes them back or how they’ll do on that spelling test on Monday.
Squish Frosty Mix – $6
A cute bag of gummy candies is a festive way to ring in Christmas morning. These holiday-themed gummies are perfect for kids too: They can munch on blue raspberry snowmen, strawberry penguins and apple-flavoured moose while telling you a festive tale about their adventures the night before.
Canada Toque – $23 @ Drake General Store
This adorable toque comes in both kid and adult sizes – so consider doing a double feature and buying one for you and your favourite little! Made from cozy knit, it’ll keep you warm when you hit the hills for a day of tobogganing post-Christmas!
I’ve got a cute little prize package for a lucky reader of my blog, featuring two of the gift ideas highlighted in this post! If you win, you’ll receive:
- Lip Smackers Skittles 8-Piece Candy Roll
- Squish Frosty Mix
