Oops, well summertime means I’m lazy or something, as I haven’t really posted this week. Part of this whole blog, really, is inspiration based…so don’t hate me when I don’t have much to go on, and therefore don’t post as much.

Today is a one-item post, and be forewarned…while it’s KIND of a tacky marketing sell, the actual product is pretty damn cool. Although I have something you might find even cooler as a bonus to this post. Stay tuned.

Meet…the Yonanas ice cream maker. Minus the ice and minus the cream that is. This nifty little gadget is pretty simple – you throw bananas into the machine and within minutes it makes you some banana soft-serve-style frozen goodness. Admittedly, this is one of those as-seen-on-tv gimmicky products, so my faith is not SUPER high that it’ll work spectacularly, but the concept seems so simple it’s hard to believe that it won’t. Plus it comes with a recipe booklet and a freezer container to keep your creamy dreams safe from the summer heat.

This is a cool, quirky gift for weddings and housewarmings, or even birthdays for your best friend or parents. I should also mention in passing, the product is dairy-free, which makes this an ideal fit for vegans and lactose-intolerant people. It’s $50 if you order it through the website, however I’ve got a plan b if you think this is a really cool idea, but don’t want to shell out the cash…
