Flash Post: Chalk It Up

What It Is: Chances are you’ve probably heard of chalkboard paint before – it glides on like any other paint, but when it’s dry, it becomes a fully functional, erasable chalkboard for you to dream up big ideas, jot down to-do’s, leave a message for a loved one, or simply doodle the day away. What makes Tilano’s line of chalkboard paints particularly nifty is the fact they come in many more shades than boring ol’ black – meaning you can create an accent wall in any room of your home without having to just have a big expanse of black. You may scoff at giving paint as a gift item, but consider it an easy, affordable, earth-friendly luxury to upgrade any home’s style.
Who It’s For: Your sibling that just purchased their first home, and is looking for a way to make it feel like it’s truly theirs. Your darling niece or nephew, to decorate their new bedroom. Your husband, to put up in his man cave and / or office as a far-less-girly decor idea.
What It Costs: $29.99 a can.
Where It’s At: You can order directly from the (Vancouver-based) Tilano website, but try your local hardware or craft stores as well.

Love chalkboard paint. Have a chalkboard I made in my kitchen and use it all the time. Love the fresh new colours….many projects await. 🙂 #cgg

I think chalkboard paint is a great idea. I also recently used magnetic paint in my niece’s bedroom makeover. Great way to hold those posters with magnets without marring the walls! #CGG
