Skin Saver
I don’t know about you guys, but my skin takes a beating in the wintertime. There’s usually a period of about 2-3 weeks each year where my hands look unrecognizable, my hair goes flat, and my nose is all peely. Their line of vegan-friendly (!), super natural products makes saving your skin a snap – and is the focus of today’s post. I’ll walk you through the start-to-finish line of amazing Pelle products, and preface it by saying these all make great gifts for your gal pals in particular (although they’re neutral enough guys could rock them as well). Buy a travel kit for your mom for her birthday, gift some sample size items to your aesthetician to take for a spin, or gift that pal of yours that prides herself on rocking indie or organic brands.
PelleClean – $16.95
Good, healthy skin starts in the shower (or at the sink), with the scrub you choose to clean away the daily grime. Some soaps can be loaded with drying ingredients that are hash on the ultra-fragile facial area, whereas PelleClean is free from synthetics, dyes, sulphates, parabens, and lanolin. Despite what it doesn’t contain, it does pack a healthy cleaning punch, even for sensitive skin sufferers and those with eczema. Plus it can pull triple duty as a face wash, body wash, or even a gentle makeup remover.
PelleInfusions – $64.95
Before you balk at the price tag of these ingenious essential oil-based moisturizers, let me assure you: a very little amount goes a very long way to restoring your skin’s health. Available in three formulations depending on your needs – Balancing, Nourishing, and Soothing – PelleInfusions can actually replace your normal moisturizer, and last you much, much longer. The primary reason? Our skin is super duper absorbent. Using an oil-based formula that’s free of cosmetic fillers means your skin can absorb the goodness much easier, and with much less product. Plus since each PelleInfusion is made with a blend of essential oils, you’ll also enjoy a dose of aromatherapy on a daily basis as you use soothing lavender or earthy Tamanu oil to lock in moisture.
Stellar – $42.95 – $64.95
Although Stellar is in the same vein as the PelleInfusions, it deserves a spotlight of its own. This multitasking moisturizer is any beauty maven’s new bff – in fact, some of Pelle’s key clients are makeup artists that swear by the stuff. So what does it do? Well it works as a moisturizer, although it’s a little lighter than the PelleInfusions. It’s actually a great fit for the summertime when you want to minimize the layers of gunk on your face (although sunscreen is still key!) It also works as a makeup primer when you mix it with foundation or tinted moisturizer as well as a makeup remover to use pre-PelleClean. It can also help get your brows in check or work as a conditioning treatment when you throw on a facial mask. As a rock star skincare potion, this is probably my #1 product for you to try out and introduce yourself to the full lineup of Pelle pretty-fying goods.
Facial Mist – $11.95 each
By this point, you’ve washed your face with PelleClean, moisturized with PelleInfusions, and possibly used Stellar to groom your brows or blend your makeup. Now we can add in the Pelle Facial Mists’ to the mix (although to be fair, they can actually go on at an earlier step). These alcohol-free mists – like many of Pelle’s products – pull a one-two punch in protecting your skin. Spray it on post-shower for a lightweight moisturizer with benefits: each of the two blends boasts benefits depending on your skincare woes.
