One Good Thing Leads To Another

Raining Sunshine

One of the nifty things about working with DiaNoche Designs on September’s ‘Find of the Month’ post was being introduced to the Canadian artisans that already team up with that brand. While they license their artwork for application to DiaNoche’s range of pillows, shower curtains, and trademark illuminated art, these creative types also produce and sell their prints and other items through boutiques, galleries and online. One of those artists is Julia Di Sano, an abstract acrylic painter based in Vancouver.

What Goes Up Earrings
In recent years, Julia has applied her bold, graphic style to other items – like jewelry, accessories, and home decor items, all of which incorporate digital prints of her work. Even cooler? She actually handcrafts or has all pieces produced in Canada and the US, meaning you know you’re getting a homegrown product. Julia’s line has attracted an audience; her items are sold at a number of posh boutiques through B.C. and Ontario, as well as through her personal website, Ebi Emporium, and on Etsy, where she’s already racked up hundreds of sales. In addition, she licenses her artwork for reprint through companies like the aforementioned DiaNoche Designs, Society 6, Redbubble, plus some international outfits in Japan, Singapore, and France.

Ebi Emporium Into The Fall Decorative Throw Pillow Cover
In general, I love Julia’s work for the reason why I love many of the brands I feature on this blog – COLOUR! I think her aesthetic is one of those that can be universally appreciated – even if you live in a monochromatic world, a bright painting or pillow can be all you need to really liven up the space and give it a modern, personal feel.

The price points are wholly reasonable for gift-giving as well. Give a schoolmate a funky pencil case for under $20, gift your mom with a gorgeous pair of artisanal earrings for under $30, or be the star of a housewarming party by picking out a funky print or original painting for $29 – $420.

Ebi Emporium Prizing
Anyway, the exciting news is, one of you is about to get a whole lot more colour in her life! Julia has been kind enough to put up either a cell phone case or a pair of earrings for one lucky winner – the choice is yours 🙂 Interested? Here’s how to enter:

1) Leave a comment by September 29th with a link back to your favourite piece on the Ebi Emporium website.

2) Entries are limited to one per person / per email address / per household (or more if you score bonus entries). A random draw will be conducted on or around September 30th to select the winners, who will have 48 hours to respond before another winner is chosen in their place.

3) Entries are limited to Canadians that have reached the age of majority in their province. Quebec is not eligible for this promotion.

4) Bonus Entry: Ebi Emporium and Julia have quite a social media presence. You can find (and follow) the brand on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to earn up to 3 bonus entries – provided you leave a link back in the comments below highlighting a FB comment you left on the brand’s wall, a Tweet you sent out with them tagged in it, and a link back to at least one repin from their Pinterest account.

ETA: Sorry guys, don’t know why this one was a little late on arrival!

That’s nice you enjoy that piece, but this contest is specifically related to Ebi Emporium’s work – not Ruth Palmer’s. Please post something related to Ebi Emporium’s items to be considered.
