She Shoots, She Scores
What It Is: The Hunger Games has ignited the imaginations of readers and viewers alike over the last couple of years, in part thanks to kick butt heroine Katniss and her bow and arrow prowess. Nerf has launched a new line of tween-oriented foam dart gear, including a mock crossbow, dart guns, and regular bows all in stylin’ angel-inspired motifs. The idea, I suppose, is for the young uns to get some fresh air and exercises whilst recreating their own Hunger Games. While normally I’m not one to advocate for violence and such, this is nothing but sheer, creative fun. Consider it the 21st century answer to Cowboys & Indians.
Who It’s For: Obviously the young girls in your life are the target here – I’d say anywhere from 8-14 might get a kick out of these fun gizmos and gadgets.
What It Costs: $12.99 – $39.99 depending on what you buy.
Where It’s At: Toys R Us
Olive Yew bonus entry! Do you have any kids, tweens or teens on your shopping list? Would they like this gift?
I have a few little munchkins on my list, but they are too young to enjoy this gift yet.
I don’t, but I can see how this would be a fun gift!
I have a young girl on my list who would love this. Thanks for the find.
I don’t have anyone to buy for in the age group that would like this but I wish I did. What a fun gift!
I don’t have anyone in this particular age group on my list, but this looks like a lot of fun. Heck, if nobody was looking I would be tempted to indulge.
I have 2 grandkids and the youngest would really enjoy this. earlier this summer I gave her a nerf gun and she spent hours knocking over empty plastic bottles.
I do have a tween on my shopping list and I’m sure she would like this, but I don’t think I would buy it as I don’t like violent gifts.
my nephew would love this, but he would aim it his sister all the time – so maybe not a great idea
yes, my grandchildren would love it.
I dont but if I did I could see how a child would think this is cool
It sounds like a cool gift, however I don’t have any kids of suitable age that this would be appropriate for
I don’t have anyone in that age group but this would be a fun gift.
My niece is a bit young for this yet (she’s 2). So I’d play with it for a few years before she gets to use it ;-0
Bonus Olive Yew entry: no kids, tweens or teens on my shopping list as they are all too young but even so I’d probably have to get the parents approval before purchasing & presenting.
