10 for $10: Feeling Festive Edition
As my husband commented to me the other weekend – it’s amazing how quickly the stores transform from Halloween to holiday decor (in fact, many already have covert Christmas displays earlier than Oct 31). That also means there are plenty of fun festive items to decorate your home with – or perhaps, consider gifting to a friend or family member as a small, sweet token of thanks, appreciation or love. And with that, I give you 10 items all with a certain festive feeling to them, for under $10 a pop.
Life At Home Holiday Diffusers – $8 each @ Loblaws
Not only do these glass diffusers look festive, they smell seasonally appropriate too. Pick one up in Mountain Cranberry or Winter Wonderland.
Jingle All The Way Large Plate – $5 @ Sweet Lulu
Perfect for serving up party snacks or cookies for St. Nick himself, this festive plate is surprisingly affordable – making it a worthwhile ‘investment’ given you can only haul it out for a few occasions each year. Incidentally this store has a ton of cute wrap & greeting card ideas too!
Monogram Ornaments – $9.50 each @ Indigo
Want to add some style to the tree? These monogram ornaments each feature their own unique embellishments and are a great way to commemorate every member of the family.
Almedahls Tomtenisse Dishcloth – $7 @ Huset
This adorably printed dishcloth make look cute, but don’t be fooled: it’s actually uber durable, machine washable, and completely compostable when it eventually wears out its welcome in your giftee’s home. A charming hostess choice.
Tea-Filled Stockings – $8.50 each @ DAVIDsTEA
Call this the gift that keeps on giving: not only will your giftee score a bag of limited-edition tea (like spicy Gingerbread, minty Santa’s Secret or cider-spiked Sleigh Ride), they’ll also get an adorable mini-stocking to hang on their tree. Refill it with treats or another bag of tea on Christmas morning.
Ginger Sparkle Mini Shower & Moisture Set – $10 @ The Body Shop
What’s more festive than the scent of freshly baked gingerbread cookies? Few things, methinks. Smell like this classic holiday treat when you indulge in a rich shower gel and accompanying body butter while staving off wintery dry skin.
DRYCK JULMUST – $1.29 each @ IKEA
Let me preface this by saying IKEA is a total haven for holiday decor at bargain prices. But something about this quirky ‘Swedish Festive Drink’ just made me smile. Pick up a six pack and bring them for the host of your holiday movie fest.
Novelty Gold Star – $10 @ Godiva
Unwrap a sweet treat in either milk or dark chocolate from legendary chocolatiers Godiva. You can also hang up the included box as an ornament when you’re done, but in the meantime it makes a swell hostess pick.
Nutcrackers – $5.99+ @ Bouclair
This classic holiday totem need not be dated – Bouclair carries a big range of them to match virtually any holiday decor colour scheme. I also love them as a fun desk accessory to get into the holiday spirit.
Jessica Knee High Butter ‘Snowflake’ Socks – $7.99 each @ Sears
I seriously recommend a good pair of toasty socks to get you through a long hard winter. These alpine-inspired knee-highs look adorable when peeking out over your favourite riding boots.

I love almost everything here, but I thought the Life At Home Holiday Diffusers – $8 each @ Loblaws were real festive…my choice.
I really adore those riding socks 🙂
Those knee high socks are my favourite! The perfect thing to bring some cheer on dreary days, and what a good price for stocking stuffers!
I love the Tea-Filled Stockings!
Those monogram ornaments are just beautiful. I would love to have one of those and I know several people on my list who would also love those. Going shopping, thanks!
I like the Bouclair Nutcrackers – very decorative.
The Jessica knee high butter snowflake socks
The Ginger Sparkle Mini Shower & Moisture Set
Love the Bouclair Nutcrackers, they are so decorative but the monogrammed ornaments take my breath away, and who wouldn’t love the assorted truffles novelty gold star from Godiva????
The Godiva Chocolates would be perfect for any stocking! Even mine! Hint Hint
Most people would love to receive a Godiva’s Novelty Gold Star from me.
Would love the ginger sparkle from the body shop
Oh I want those knee highs!
I’m tempted by the Ikea Swedish drinks (am suspicious that they’re going to be herring-flavoured), but think I’d go for the festive knee-socks. Very girlie and pretty.
I could really go for the Christmasy diffusers from Loblaws. I love my house to have that holiday, festive aroma. So reasonably too!
I like the Ginger sparkle mini set from the Body Shop 🙂
