Wrap Star
Looking for some crafty new ways to get your gift wrap? Look no further than today’s five fabulous gift ideas.
Universal Wrapping Paper – From $20 @ Wordless Design
Tired of buying occasion-specific paper for every which event? Look no further than this high quality wrapping paper, which includes a wordsearch print that allows you to circle the specific occasion you’re celebrating. From direct events like ‘Christmas’ or ‘Happy Easter’ to more obtuse and humorous messages like ‘It Is Not Perfume’ and ‘You Are The Best’, this is a fun (albeit pricy!) way to send greetings.
Custom or Pre-Designed Gift Wrap – From $15 a roll @ Spoonflower
Looking for some beautiful gift wrap that everyone in your family won’t already have? Check out Spoonflower, a North Carolina-based company that has hundreds of amazing prints available as wallpaper, fabric or gift wrap. Still don’t see something you love? They offer easy custom design tools to create your own one-of-a-kind wrapping paper. And shipping to Canada is just $3!
Accoutrements Creepy Wrapping Paper Book – $16.99 @ Amazon.ca
Looking for some offbeat gift wrap to delight a rough & tumble little boy, surly teen or alternative friend? This kooky book of wraping paper sheets appears innocent at first – until you look closer and see creepy details like roaches, clowns, earwigs and more. Not for the faint of heart – but a fun way to celebrate an occasion, even for someone who doesn’t like the whole idea of gift-giving and wrap.
Spring Gift Wrap Collection – From $3.50 @ Indigo
Looking to coordinate your gift-wrapping efforts? Indigo has a lovely, modern, Parisian-inspired collection of gift wrap in stores right now (I actually featured the accompanying notebook earlier this month). From cute petite gift bags to a dramatic roll of glossy wrap to matching bows and gift tags, buy the entire collection for easy gift wrap mix and matching down the road – it may even become your signature style! As of writing this post, Indigo also had a savings offer on when you buy three pieces from their spring gift wrap collection.
CoolWraps – $13.99 / package
In developing a post on gift wrapping I realized one thing. I could write about the prettiest, coolest wrapping paper ideas in the world…but for a wrapping-challenged person like my husband, it wouldn’t make a lick of difference. Until now. Meet CoolWraps, an incredibly cool way of wrapping your gifts. Each package of CoolWraps includes nine plastic-y bags in various sizes. Simply insert the item you’re looking to wrap, then seal it. Now how do you get that picture perfect, adheres to every curve look you see above? Break out your blowdryer and aim it at the parcel – boom, the wrapping shrinks and smooths itself out, perfectly wrapping around your gift. That’s right – no more fussing over the wrong size of paper. No more wringing your hands in frustration when you realize you’re out of gift wrap tape. All you need is a CoolWrap and your hair dryer. So simple! Ladies – this makes for an excellent gift for that all thumbs hubby of yours so he can finally wrap your gifts in style. CoolWraps does ship internationally for pretty reasonable rates too. Check out the video below for a demo of how it works.
Want to try CoolWraps for yourself? I’m giving away three packages of CoolWraps to three lucky winners. Here’s how to enter for your chance to win:

Sure liked the crossword but I bet my grandson who is 11 would really like the Creepy one. I posted to Facebook:Once I helped a Charity with gift wrapping to raise funds for the hot meal program Some one brought a Keyboard to be wrapped so I wrapped it with great difficulty. CoolWraps probably don’t come in such a big size as that but will be very handy for wrapping those awkwardly shaped gifts in the future! Great innovation!
