Find of the Month: Sweetgrass Rain

I love when I get connected with a new brand that finds out about the Canadian Gift Guide! That’s exactly what happened with September’s featured brand – Sweetgrass Rain actually spotted this lil’ blog on the interwebs and upon some mutual backpatting, I was excited to have the chance to feature them on my blog. Like quite a few of the brands I favour and feature on this brand, Sweetgrass Rain is lovingly made by hand, using high quality essential oils and pure ingredients – say bye to harsh chemicals and hello to soothing aromatherapy oils and ethically sourced ingredients. I’ve picked out a few of my fave gift ideas from them to inspire your next shopping trip!

Sweetgrass Rain Bath SaltsPure Fine Dead Sea Mineral Salts – From $13.95 / Pure Coarse Himalayan Pink Bath Salts – $19.95
Bath salts have all kinds of restorative properties, making ’em a perfect pick for a brand that’s all about treating you right (and a great gift idea for the friend that needs a little extra TLC in her life). You can pick up Sweetgrass Rain’s sea salts in a host of scents (as well as unscented), including grapefruit, tea flower, and yes, sweetgrass. Himalayan Pink Salt crystals in contrast, are considered to be some of the most pure salt in the world – and they’ll also help heal you; everything from arthritis to skin rashes have been known to ease up when you add some pink salt to the tub.

Sweetgrass Rain Body Cream

Body Cream – $10.95 each
We’re about to head into one of the driest seasons of the year, so lather up well with this natural body cream, loaded with soothing ingredients like cocoa butter and sunflower oil. Formulated in a half-dozen scents from relaxing (Lavender Roman Chamomile) to the energizing (Sweet Orange Tangerine) to the sensual (Neroli), these convenient tubs are a great price, making them a cool pick to throw into your bridesmaid goodie bags or even to use as stocking stuffers for your teenager daughters this holiday season.

Sweetgrass Rain Soy Candle

100% Soy Candles – From $4.95 for Tea Lights
One of the interesting things about Sweetgrass Rain is they aren’t just about body products. They actually take their essential oils and fragrance oils and infuse them to 100% soy, hand-poured candles – which are one of the most clean-burning candles out there. They’re available in a huge range of sizes, from a package of tea lights or simple votives to trendy large multi-wick candles like the one you see above. Plus they come in literally dozens of aromas – in the essential oils, opt for rich natural scents like Bay Rum or Cypress & Juniper, while the fragrance oil candles have even more diverse scents like Vanilla Cupcake and Chocolate Truffle. Yum! Bonus points for the cool minimalist vibe – it’s way classier than a LOUD label.

Sweetgrass Rain Oils

Essential Oils + Vegan Carrier Oils – From $4.95
If you’re into aromatherapy, then you know the importance of working with pure, natural ingredients to really get the best impacts. Sweetgrass Rain carries a pretty extensive collection of both carrier oils, which help dilute pure essential oils, for a custom, soothing blend. The carrier oils are all vegan, and each one boasts its own benefits – all of which are helpfully outlined in the descriptions. For example, Cherry Kernel Oil is excellent for massage therapy and aromatherapy and comes loaded with natural antioxidants. The therapeutic-grade essential oils literally run the gamut from A (Australian Tea Tree) to Y (Yuzu), allowing you to concoct a perfect, high quality blend of oils for your needs.

Sweetgrass Rain Bath Bombs

Bath Bombs – $5.65 Each
Nothing creates an instantly whimsical yet relaxing vibe in the tub than a foaming bath bomb. These fizzy bombs are extra special because they’re loaded with Sweetgrass Rain’s signature therapeutic grade essential oils, as well as exotic butters, clays, carrier oils and botanical extracts for a totally soothing, sensual bath. Plus the aromas sound pretty damn amazing – anyone for a Margarita or Vanilla Coconut bath? Makes a perfect hostess or houseguest gift, as an FYI – especially when you buy them in a package! More into soap and showers? Sweetgrass Rain also has a pretty great collection of soaps here.
