Chinese New Year is always a fun post for me to write each year, because more and more brands are getting involved (inadvertently or deliberately) to ring it in. 2017 is the Year of the Rooster – I’ve picked out a few awesome gift ideas for those Roosters celebrating a birthday this year, or for someone you’re celebrating Chinese New Year with.

The Estee Lauder compact is really beautiful. I get creative in the kitchen and am going to make a big pot of Sweet and Sour soup.
My fave gift is the Kate spade imagination rooster coin purse. (So cute). I currently have no particular celebration plans.

I love the MAC Year of The Rooster palette. The colours are gorgeous! I am not doing anything to celebrate but I’d love to go to a dinner so I could try all the delicious foods I’ve seen in pictures!

The tie, my husband loves roosters and the swatch is colourful, not celebrating.
I like Uncommon Good’s Year of the Rooster box. We have two babies expected in our family this year and I think the parents would like this idea. I have no plans for the Chinese New Year — maybe a trip to the Mandarin restaurant!
