Hot & Bothered

Sriracha CookbooksWhat It Is: Feeling cold outside? Heat things up in the kitchen with these two super spicy cookbooks by author Randy Clemens. Loaded with 50 different recipes for meat eaters and vegetarians alike, the star ingredient here is that ubiquitous ‘rooster sauce’, aka Sriracha. The veggie cookbook in particular is much appreciated in my veggie-eating world – and it offers bonuses by serving up adaptations for those who go full vegan, are ovo-lacto vegetarians, or those looking for a gluten-free choice. With inventive spins on a range of foods like hummus, pho, maple sausage patties and believe it or not, peach sorbet, these are a great pick for any Sriracha diehard in your household.

Who It’s For: Your Sriracha-hoarding brother who refuses to cook (maybe this will inspire him). Your always looking for a new cooking challenge wife. Your Sriracha-loving parents, as a new twist on an old fave.

What It Costs: The list price for each book is $19.99 but they are available for less online.

Where It’s At: Amazon.ca

Nab a bonus entry into my Stocking Stuffers for Teens giveaway which closes tomorrow at midnight! Tell me in the comments below – are you a Sriracha fan? Know anyone that would love one of these cookbooks?

My husband and I are both huge Sriracha fans! We put it on pretty much every dinner. I buy the huge bottle now and it lasts about a month 😉 My Dad lived in Indonesia for many years and he keeps his bottle on his dinning room table, he uses it like Ketchup 😉 We would all love these cookbooks!

I don’t use Siriracha much, but I do have a Sriracha-hoarding brother who loves to cook.
I like spicy, but I have littles who don’t. I suppose I could take some out for them before I add the spice.

Love Sirriacha sauce – heat in your food is always good. And my granddaughter is a big fan of it too, so the veggie cookbook would be excellent as well since she is vegatarian.

I am not sure that I have had anything with Sriracha sauce so I would have to say that I am not a fan since I have not yet tried it. That is something I will have to sample this year as I like spicy food. My brother loves spice and is a vegetarian so the Veggie Lovers version would be great for him.

I am a huge sriracha fan. I buy the extra large bottles and put it on everything! These cookbooks would be really awesome. I was so worried when a few months ago there was that scare about the sriracha factory shutting down. I ran out and bought a few extra bottles just in case! 🙂
