Tata For Now
My skin has been looking particularly radiant the last couple of weeks. While the warmer weather is certainly to thank, I’d also like to pay tribute to the natural skincare brand Tata Harper, whose goods I’ve been sampling. Since we’re all getting our game faces on for the summer social season AND since it’s the ‘greenest’ month of the year, I figured now was as good as time as any to introduce you to one of the most amazing anti-aging skincare lines on the market.
So what makes this brand particularly special you ask? Well for one, the brand’s namesake founder, Colombian-raised beauty guru Tata Harper, has set out a pretty lofty mission: to seriously shatter the myth that natural is synonymous with non-effective – particularly in the realm of anti-aging lotions & promise that either fall short on their promises, or deliver your skin a Molotov cocktail of dangerous synthetic and chemical ingredients. Tata Harper products are 100% natural and nontoxic, and it’s a promise they’re quite literally rooted in: the company actually has their own 1,200 acre organic farm in Vermont to cultivate the herbs and flowers that go into each product. Despite the feel-good ‘green’ mandate of the company, they’ve also got science on their side. You can read tons about their lab and proprietary formulas, which play an important part in delivering on the replenishing promises of each product.
As for those products? Well, they’re primarily centered around skincare – for your face, but also for your body. If you’re really focused on anti-aging, they offer a particular line of products designed to naturally plump up and strengthen your collagen supply, protect your skin from the elements, and of course, feed it tons of healthy nutrients. Each product page gives a thorough breakdown of ingredients – including an easy-to-read grahpic on the percentage of organic ingredients, and the number of ‘active ingredients’ designed to work their magic on your skin. Prices for the skincare line range from $45+ so you can mix & match to buy mom a gorgeous Mother’s Day package whether she’s tried Tata Harper before or not. Another thing I quite frankly love about the Tata Harper site is the depth of information it has. Take for example, their mini aromatherapy collection, which consists of 3 aromatherapy treatments ($65 each) to help relieve you of stress, irritability, and restlessness. Instead of just highlighting their all-natural products, they actually walk you through why they’ve bothered to create an aromatherapy collection, and how to use the products. This is true for every line on the site – you can click through tabs to learn about the science behind each product, and the benefits to you as the user.
Of course, taking care of your skin also has to apply to your lips. The last sub-line in the Tata Harper collection is a trio of lip treatments – two sheer, one tinted, two plumping, one ultra-protective. Each lip treatment retails for $28, making it an ace choice as a birthday gift for your best friend that’s reluctant to try natural beauty products without knowing whether they’ll work (trust me, they do). Incidentally while you can certainly buy Tata Harper’s line-up of goods through their website, if you’re in a pinch and want to scoop up one of their goodies for a quick-fix gift, they also have a strong presence in Canada. I need the cleansers and the repairers the most but would like any of these to try! I’m so tired of paying good money for cleansers that irritate my sensitive skin or don’t work.

If it had to be skincare I would go with Restorative Eye Créme but if I could choose anything it would be the aromatic irritability treatment.
